Ministry of Science and Technology of China (MOST) and the Square Kilometre Array Office (SKAO) are delighted to announce The Square Kilometre Array (SKA) workshop on Science Data Processing (SDP) and High Performance Computing (HPC). We look forward to hosting you at the Shanghai Astronomical Observatory (SHAO) in Shanghai on May 11-13, 2016 for a full programme of talks and discussions on SKA Science, Science Data Processing (SDP), regional science centres, High Performance Computing (HPC), and Big data et al.
SKA, is a global next-generation radio telescope project involving institutions from over 20 countries. The SKA will be the largest and most capable radio telescope ever constructed. During its 50+ year lifetime, it will expand our understanding of the universe and drive technological development worldwide.
This conference will create conversations, dialogues and exchanges between the worldwide SDP, HPC scientists and researchers who are interested or worked for the SKA project. (Including practitioners, policymakers and the industry) and academics and discuss, showcase and analyze impactful research in a range of innovative and thought-provoking sessions.
